Man, 46, stabbed, robbed at Harlem intersection, suspect sought: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials are searching for an attacker they said stabbed and robbed a man at a Harlem intersection on Wednesday afternoon.

Police say the 46-year-old victim was approached at the intersection of 147th St. and Seventh Ave. at approximately 2:35 p.m. and stabbed under his arm.

The suspect then took the man's bookbag and cellphone before felling the area un in an unknown direction.

The victim was transported to St. Luke's Hospital in stable condition.

It is not known at this time if the man knew the attacker prior to the incident.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black bookbag, but it it unknown if it his or the one taken from the victim.

An investigation is ongoing.
