Stranger slashes man, 55, across the neck in unprovoked Queens subway attack

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A stranger slashed a 55-year-old man across the neck with a knife in an unprovoked attack at a Queens elevated train platform on Saturday, according to police.

The man cut the commuter on the 7 train platform at the Roosevelt Avenue-Jackson Heights station on 74th Street around 7:20 a.m., officials said.

Emergency responders rushed the man to Elmhurst Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The NYPD has not yet made any arrests for the attack, and an investigation is ongoing.
