WATCH: Man, 68, has backpack snatched at gunpoint outside Queens home, 2 suspects sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials released video footage of two men who snatched a 68-year-old man's bookbag at gunpoint outside his Queens home last week.

According to police, the victim was opening the door to his residence at 69th Avenue and Main Street in Kew Gardens at around 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday when he was approached by the suspects.

The video shows one of the suspects brandish a gun and tried to grab the black backpack from the victim before he is approached by the second suspect who can also be seen pointing a gun at him.

The victim can then be seen trying to back away from the suspects so that they wouldn't take his bag, but they suspects were able to grab it from him before fleeing the scene.

The victim did not sustain injury, and the backpack was empty, the NYPD said.

Officials describe the first suspect as a man with a dark complexion, approximately 5'10", 170 pounds, with thin build. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a black and blue multi-colored shirt, and blue jeans with black and red sneakers.

Individual #2: Male, dark complexion, approximately 6'2" with an athletic build, 190 Lbs. He was last seen wearing a red baseball cap, a black hooded sweatshirt, and black sweatpants with black and red sneakers.

Authorities believe that this incident is also linked to a 63-year-old man who was pistol-whipped and robbed of cash and jewelry at a Forest Hills subway station last Wednesday.

An investigation remains ongoing.
