NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Two men attacked a man in Greenwich Village while hurling anti-gay insults, police said Thursday as they released images of two suspects.

The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating Sunday morning’s assault near Seventh Avenue and W. 12th Street.

The 27-year-old victim was out on the sidewalk around 3:25 a.m. when he was approached by a group of people.

Two men in the group made “numerous” anti-gay slurs at the man and then punched him multiple times in the face and body, police said.

The victim suffered minor injuries and did not require medical attention, according to police.

The attackers fled the scene after the assault.
