MALVERNE, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Officials are investigating after a man was struck and critically injured by a Bobcat excavator at an Long Island construction site on Monday afternoon.
According to detectives, just after 2:30 p.m., a 69-year-old man was struck by a Bobcat excavator, that was being operated by a 29-year-old man working on a construction site at a Malverne residence.
The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported by a Nassau County Police Helicopter to a local hospital for treatment.
He is currently listed in critical condition.
An investigation remains ongoing.
