
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man was killed in a broad-daylight shooting on an East Village street Friday morning, police said as they searched for a gunman.

The 42-year-old victim, later identified as Anthony Ramon, was shot in the stomach and leg at 228 East 4th Street, between Avenue B and Avenue C, shortly after 9 a.m.
He was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police put up crime scene tape and blocked off East 4th Street at Avenue C.
The gunfire followed an argument between the victim and another man, according to the NYPD.
Police are searching for a man clad in black who was last spotted pedaling westbound down East 4th Street on a bicycle.
