NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A 36-year-old man was murdered in an execution-style shooting at a crowded Harlem smoke shop on Sunday night—months after a retired NYPD detective was shot outside the same store.
The NYPD released surveillance images Monday that shows the suspect wanted in the brazen slaying.
The victim was shot in the head at point-blank range as he walked out of a smoke shop at 304 Lenox Ave. just before 8 p.m.

The two men had exchanged words moments before gunfire erupted, graphic surveillance video shows.
As the victim walked away from the encounter, he was shot from behind in front of at least a half-dozen bystanders.
The gunman casually walked up to the victim as he was lying on the floor and shot him again in the head as the bystanders fled, the video shows.
The victim was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, but he couldn’t be saved.
The killer fled northbound on Lenox Avenue towards W. 126th Street, police said.
Neither the victim nor the shooter is affiliated with the business, according to police.
The shooting came about six months after a retired NYPD detective and another man were shot and wounded outside the same shop on Oct. 4.
