
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 39-year-old MTA bus driver was attacked with a tree branch in the Bronx on Wednesday night, police said.

According to authorities, the bus came to a halt on East Tremont Avenue near Webster Avenue in East Tremont shortly before 10 p.m. when a passenger exited the bus and grabbed a tree branch.
An unknown individual then struck the victim in the right arm, causing pain, and then threw the branch at her.
There is no indication that the victim went to the hospital for treatment, police said.
A description of the suspect remains unknown at this time, and they remain at-large as of Thursday evening.
The investigation is ongoing.
