NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An MTA contractor was attacked, possibly with a screwdriver, at a Wall Street subway station on Thursday morning, police said.

The victim was at the 4/5 Wall Street station around 7:45 a.m. when a man slashed him in his right arm with what may have been a screwdriver, according to police.

The victim is an MTA contractor, and the attacker also stole his tools, police told WCBS-TV.

The victim’s injuries are non-life-threatening.

The suspect, believed to be in his 30s, fled northbound on Broadway after the assault.
