The MTA will sell a special edition MetroCard featuring Biggie — born Christopher Wallace — for his would-be 50th birthday on Saturday, May 21st.
The MetroCard will be sold at the Lafayette Ave., Clinton-Washington Ave., and Atlantic Ave.–Barclays Center subway stations near Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood where he grew up.
The Empire State Building will also be lit up in red the same night, with a crown spinning in its mast.
The Barclays Center will feature a video montage of the late rapper that will be displayed above the venue’s entrance.
