NEW YORK — An “immersive” exhibit comprised of a series of “cannabis-inspired” installations is opening its doors in New York City this week.
“The Stone Age,” described on its website as a “multi-faceted, sensorial journey,” is set to open at 607 Sixth Ave., between West 17th and West 18th streets in Manhattan, on Oct. 1.

One of the exhibit’s creators, Sasha Perelman, told Forbes the installations will transport visitors “from the bustling NYC streets through an ethereal light portal into The Stone Age — an immersive journey designed to visually and emotionally spark the senses.”
“Visitors [will] learn about the effects of cannabis on the body, the mind and soul, through interactive attractions consisting of: a motion-activated painting screen, make-your-own beats DJ booth, an orgasmic light sculpture, black-light murals and more,” Perelman wrote in an email to the outlet.
All of the installations revolve around “six states of being that are intended to ensure guests, cannabis consumers or not, walk away feeling inspired, empowered and curious about the plant in unimaginable ways,” the exhibit’s other creator, Elizabeth Santana, added.
The exhibit will be the first-ever “immersive cannabis-inspired experience” to open in the five boroughs, its website said.
Visitors, who must be at least 18 years old, “will receive a gift bag full of CBD and other cannabinoid-inspired products,” the site’s FAQ section noted.
Guests will not be allowed to smoke or vape inside the exhibit, but will be encouraged to “do whatever they’d like to enhance their experience before arriving,” the FAQ section added.
Tickets start at $58.93 for a one-hour general admission session, according to the website. The exhibit will run through Oct. 29.
