NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- Police are searching for a serial thief who's been stealing phones right from the hands of women at busy Manhattan subway stations.

The crook has struck at least three times in less than a month, police said Friday as they released images of a suspect.

The most recent theft was at the Times Square–42nd Street station on Monday afternoon.

A 35-year-old woman was at the station around 3:30 p.m. when a male grabbed the phone from her hands and fled on foot.

He also struck a week before that on June 26, when a 25-year-old woman had her phone snatched at the 47th–50th Streets–Rockefeller Center station.

The victim was inside the station at 12:30 p.m. when a male stole a phone from her hands and took off with it.

The first reported theft in the spree was around 1 p.m. on June 12, when a 34-year-old woman had her phone stolen from her hands at the 14th Street–Union Square station.

None of the victims were injured in the brazen thefts, police said.
