NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — The NYPD is looking for a man who they say stole three women’s purses in Queens over the span of just 10 days.

The first victim was robbed on April 6 around 2:45 p.m. when the 57-year-old victim was walking on 42nd Ave. in Corona. The suspect approached her from behind and snatched her bag which had credit cards with about $145 cash inside, authorities said.
Two days later, a 30-year-old woman was robbed just after 9:30 p.m. while walking up the steps of her apartment building near 98th Street and 37th Avenue. The thief approached her from behind and stole her purse containing a cellphone and about $200 cash, police said.
On April 16, the purse snatcher struck again, this time stealing a 40-year-old victim’s bag as she was walking at the corner of Northern Boulevard and 101 Street just after 9 p.m. The handbag contained about $100 in cash, cops said.

No injuries were reported as a result of any of the robberies, authorities said.
Surveillance footage was captured of the suspect after the first incident. The thief is described as being dark-skinned, approximately in his 20's, thin build and last seen wearing a black hoodie sweater with the letters "New York" in front of it, black winter hat, light blue ripped jeans, black sneakers and carrying a black bag across his shoulder.
Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
