NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A thief bit an 81-year-old man who was leaving a Manhattan check cashing business before grabbing money out of his hand and fleeing with it, police said Thursday.
The victim was exiting David’s Check Cashing at E. 116th Street and Park Avenue around 6:30 p.m. last Thursday when his attacker came up and chomped down on his right hand, according to police.
The assailant then snatched $330 in cash right out of his hand and took off with the money, police said.
The victim suffered a small cut to his hand that didn’t require hospitalization.
The NYPD released images of the suspect Thursday.
