NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police released images Wednesday of the man suspected of stabbing a subway rider in the chest at a Queens subway station last week.

The 23-year-old victim was approached by his attacker at the 111th Street station in South Richmond Hill around 1:20 a.m. last Monday.

The suspect picked a fight with the victim, and the argument eventually turned physical, according to police.

During the confrontation, the attacker whipped out a cutting instrument and plunged it into the victim’s chest.

The assailant fled the station after the stabbing.

The victim was transported in stable condition by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst.
