
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A subway rider was punched and stabbed by a group in an apparently unprovoked attack on a Brooklyn train Monday, police said Wednesday as they released an image of the suspect.
The victim, a 27-year-old woman, was riding an A train approaching the Franklin Avenue station in Bedford-Stuyvesant at 3:30 a.m. when she was approached by her four attackers.
The group pummeled her and then stabbed her in the head and shoulder with a blade, according to police.
The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County in stable condition.
