Three other male suspects in the robbery—ages 16, 17 and 18—were taken into police custody at the East 180th Street station in Van Nest, according to police, who said a Taser was used on one of the suspects and a cop was injured during the arrests.

The NYPD received a call just after 5:30 a.m. about a 46-year-old man being robbed at gunpoint on a northbound 2 train at the 174th Street station.

The train was subsequently held at the East 180th Street stop, where the four robbers, two of them possibly armed with guns, fled the train towards the 5 line, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and has not been identified.

The teen suspect who was tased was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.

One officer suffered a knee injury during the incident, although it wasn't immediately clear if the cop was taken to a hospital.

It wasn't immediately clear if the 46-year-old man was injured, or what exactly was stolen, in the initial robbery.
