Suspect sought in Queens Chase Bank robbery

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Police are searching for a man who robbed a bank in Queens on Friday afternoon.

The thief walked into the Chase Bank at 118-30 Queens Boulevard in Forest Hills just before 5 p.m. and approached a 31-year-old bank teller, police said.

The suspect handed the woman a note demanding cash. The frightened bank teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash before he fled the scene, cops said.

No one was harmed in the incident.

The man police are looking for is described as having a light complexion with a thin build, last seen wearing a red cap, blue jeans, a beige jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt and a surgical mask.
