Suspect wanted in shooting death of 25-year-old man in East Harlem: NYPD

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Police are looking to identify a suspect wanted in connection to the shooting death of a 25-year-old man in East Harlem, authorities said.

Officers responded to a 911 in front of 2251 1st Avenue at approximately 11 p.m. on Friday, February 25, where Shaquell Gainey was found with a gunshot wound to the chest.

EMS transported Gainey to NYC Health & Hospital/Harlem, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities are searching for a suspect described as a man with a dark complexion, slim build, approximately 6'0" tall. He was last seen wearing a black face mask, a black hooded jacket, an orange hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and orange sneakers.
