NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- Police released images Friday of a teen robbery suspect—one of four who allegedly beat, slashed and held a knife to a man’s throat on a Queens subway train.

The 37-year-old victim was aboard a Manhattan-bound 7 train at the 111th Street Station in North Corona around 11:20 p.m. on Feb. 23 when the teens surrounded him.

They punched him in the face repeatedly and put a knife to his throat while demanding his valuables, police said. They also cut his left hand during a struggle.

The thieves searched his pockets and stole an amulet, an iPhone and his wallet, which contained $300 cash and credit cards, police said.

They then fled the station, but the man chased after them, so they threw his phone on the ground and ran off with the other stolen items, according to police.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was treated and released.

One of the four suspects was captured by surveillance cameras as he exited the Junction Boulevard station just minutes after the robbery. Police believe he’s about 16 years old.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
