NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — A $10,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of a suspect wanted for shooting two homeless men, one fatally, in SoHo on Saturday.

The first shooting occurred around 5 a.m. when police found a 38-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his left forearm on King Street between Varick Street and Avenue of the Americas. The victim had been sleeping there when an unknown person came up to him and shot him, police said.
The victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
About an hour later, the suspect struck again nearby outside of 148 Lafayette Street. Surveillance video shows the attacker kicking the victim, who was sleeping outside, looking around to see if anyone was watching and then shooting him at point-blank range.
The victim was found inside of a sleeping bag hours later with gunshot wounds to his head and neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mayor Eric Adams held a press conference on Saturday night to address the murders.
“Homelessness turning into a homicide. We need to find this person and we need New Yorkers to help us,” Adams said. “And I’m here today to send a very clear message, that all New Yorkers matter.”
The suspect is seen on video wearing all black with blue gloves.
Anyone with information in regard to these incidents is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
