VIDEO: Victim chased down Brooklyn street, shot in leg; gunman sought

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- A man was chased down a Brooklyn street and shot in the leg by a man he’d been arguing with, police said Thursday as they released video of the suspected shooter.

The 21-year-old victim and a second man got into a dispute at Williams and Riverdale avenues in East New York around 2:20 p.m. last Saturday.

The argument escalated into a physical confrontation, and the victim was chased down Williams Avenue by the man, who took out a gun and shot at him during the chase, police said.

Video shows the suspect holding up a gun as he runs down a sidewalk in the middle of the afternoon.

The victim suffered a gunshot wound to his thigh and was taken by private means to Brookdale Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

The suspect, who's believed to be in his 20s, was last seen entering 526 Williams Ave., police said.
