NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a man who groped a woman then punched her in the face following a dispute earlier this month, according to authorities.
At approximately midnight on Tuesday, October 11, a 19-year-old woman was in front of 182 Smith St., in Cobble Hill when she was approached from behind by the suspect who touched her buttocks, officials said.
After an exchange of words, the suspect then punched the woman with a closed fist on the left side of her face causing swelling and pain, the NYPD said.
The suspect then fled on foot to parts unknown.
The victim refused medical attention at the scene.
The suspect was last seen wearing all dark clothing, white sneakers, a dark colored hat and carrying a black bag.
