MASTIC BEACH, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — A woman was sexually assaulted and beaten during a burglary in her Mastic Beach home on Tuesday, Suffolk County Police said.
According to authorities, two males entered the victim's home and encountered her at approximately 4 p.m. One of the suspects sexually and physically assaulted her.
The males then fled with cash and property.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said one of the perpetrators was wearing a dark-hooded sweatshirt and dark pants with a white stripe, while the other was wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt and light-colored pants.
Crime Stoppers is offering $2,500 for information leading to their arrests.
