Man accused of DWI in LI crash that killed woman, injured man seated in parked van

SELDEN, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — A 31-year-old man has been charged with DWI after he allegedly struck and killed a woman and injured a man seated inside a parked van in Suffolk County early Monday.

Anthony Milano, of Selden, was driving a 2018 Subaru westbound on Clearview Avenue, just east of Blue Point Road, in Farmingville around 2:15 a.m. when his vehicle struck a parked 2015 Chevrolet van and then a tree, Suffolk County police said.

Paige Swiecicki, 30, of East Patchogue, who was seated in the rear of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Scott Johnson, 30, of Selden, the front seat passenger, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Milano, who was arrested and charged, was transported to the same hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said his arraignment date is pending due to a medical treatment.
