HOPATCONG, N.J. (1010 WINS) — Authorities in New Jersey are looking for the driver of a boat responsible for a hit-and-run collision with another boat on Monday night.

Both vessels were on Lake Hopatcong in the area of Elba Point around 9:40 p.m. when the crash happened.

A boat struck the rear of a pontoon boat causing extensive damage. The driver of the other boat then fled the scene. No serious injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

The suspected vessel is described as a white 20-foot speedboat with damage to the bow. There is no description of the driver at this time.
