
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- A Long Island man has been charged with boating while intoxicated following a deadly crash over the weekend.
A 39-foot powerboat hit a bulkhead near the entrance for James Creek from the Great Peconic Bay at about 10 p.m. Sunday.
Kelley Blanchard, 27, of Riverheard, was killed.
Three others — including the boat's operator, Frank DiStefano, who is now charged in the crash — were seriously injured.
