
STONY BROOK, LI (WCBS 880) — Suffolk County Police are investigating a hit-and-run in Stony Brook that left a 33-year-old woman dead on Monday.

The incident happened around 5:15 a.m. as the victim, Gina Paduano, was walking in front of 2350 Route 347 when she was struck by a vehicle, police said.
The driver fled westbound from the scene along Route 347, authorities said.
Paduano was pronounced dead at the scene.
