While there’s sure to be plenty of fanfare at Target Center this weekend, it’s not the only place that interested fans and locals can have some fun.
The Minneapolis Convention Center is hosting a fan fest all weekend long. The doors open at 9am everyday and will run until at least 4pm. The event is free to attend.
“There’s so much happening all weekend long. But if you love basketball, if you love professional development, if you’ve got kids who are just excited to come down and hang out for the weekend and you want to relax and have a good time, this is really the place to do it this weekend,” said Anne Clendenin of the Minnesota Local Organizing Committee.
The event is taking place at Halls B and C of the convention center. Activities during the event include numerous photo opportunities with the championship trophy, the Final Four team mascots and more. There will be exhibits showing the history of women’s basketball and different panels of women’s sports advocates. And, of course, plenty of opportunities to show your basketball prowess.
