In Minneapolis, a man was found dead in his vehicle after being shot on Sunday. Authorities confirmed that a homicide investigation is underway.
Officers responded after it was reported that a man was slumped over the wheel of a vehicle in an alley along the 2400 block of 24th Avenue South in the Seward neighborhood, Fox9 reported.
The man was declared dead by investigators at the scene when they discovered he had been shot. His death is being investigated as a homicide by authorities, Minneapolis’ 66th homicide of the year.
It is not clear how long the victim had been in the vehicle before he was discovered. Few details about the victim have been released as police are looking for suspects. Overnight, police said they received multiple reports of shots fired in the area, which is not typical for the neighborhood.
