Southwest says the unidentified passenger jumped out of the galley door, near the rear of the plane. After landing on the tarmac reports say the 30-year-old man made his way to an airport fire station, where he locked himself inside a bathroom.

Officials eventually talked him out of the bathroom and he was taken to the hospital for a mental evaluation. So far no charges have been filed against the man whose motive remains unknown.
