Andrew Raycroft talks Bruins' records, Krejci's health
Tuesday was a night to celebrate for the Bruins as they broke the NHL's single-season points record with a 5-2 win over the Capitals and then wrapped up the night with their annual "shirts off our backs" ceremony, but there was nearly one big damper on the celebration.
Goalie Linus Ullmark left the game with 9:39 to go after appearing to tweak something while sliding across his crease. He stayed in the game for a few more minutes after that play, but then left the ice and went to the dressing room during the next commercial break. Jeremy Swayman came in to finish out the game. Ullmark was also not on the ice for the "shirts off our backs."
Fortunately, Bruins coach Jim Montgomery had an encouraging update after the game.
"Just precautionary. He's gonna be fine," Montgomery said. "...Just some muscle-tightening. That's all."
While he didn't finish out the game, Ullmark still got credit for his 40th win of the season, tying the club record set by Pete Peeters in 1982-83. Ullmark is now a ridiculous 40-6-1 on the season.
Montgomery has not yet announced his starter for Thursday's regular-season finale in Montreal.
