You get the distinct sense that the price for David Pastrnak's next contract is not going to get any cheaper as this season goes on.
The Bruins' offense is surging
Already with four points through the first two games, Pastrnak added to his total Monday night with a goal of the year candidate on a great individual effort.
With the Bruins leading the Panthers 2-1 seven minutes into the third, Pastrnak took a pass from Patrice Bergeron in the neutral zone and split two defensemen -- including putting the puck through Marc Staal's legs -- before finishing five-hole on Sergei Bobrovsky.
Fittingly, Monday was National Pasta Day.
