When it came time for ESPN’s NBA Countdown pregame show to make their picks for the NBA Finals, there wasn’t a whole lot of variety.
All five members of the show picked the Warriors to beat the Celtics. Jalen Rose and Stephen A. Smith picked Golden State in seven games, while Michael Wilbon, Magic Johnson and Mike Greenberg all took the Warriors in six.
They’re not alone in doubting Boston’s chances. While some analytical models favor the Celtics, oddsmakers and a majority of national analysts are taking the Warriors.
Fortunately for the Celtics, the series won’t be decided by “expert” picks.
