The last time the Celtics and Warriors faced off - a March 16 Boston win - it would ultimately be the final regular-season game for Steph Curry. That was because of an incident involving Marcus Smart diving for a loose ball that resulted in a foot injury for the Golden State star.

And while Curry has come back and played a major role in leading Golden State to another NBA Finals, the play has evidently still stuck with Warriors' fans as the teams prepare to meet again.

That much was clear when Jason Dumas of San Francisco's 95.7 The Game and KRON4 appeared with Rob Bradford and Brian Barrett on the Merloni, Fauria and Mego Show Monday afternoon.

Dumas' assertion was that, while not acting in a malicious manner, Smart needed to be more aware of the circumstances involving the time and place of the play. Bradford countered with the notion that it shouldn't matter when such an opportunity arises, with the hustle by Smart just another example of his approach to the game.

Barrett pointed out that while he didn't believe it was a dirty play, Smart was "slightly reckless" in his execution.

But beyond the debate, what was truly surfaced was how Warriors' fans still feel about the play, which were put on display in Dumas' Twitter mentions.

There were, of course, those on the Celtics side of things coming in with a different perspective.
