6 rings: Mike Kadlick sits down with MassLive’s Mark Daniels ahead of Patriots vs. Chargers
The Patriots moved their practice inside Gillette Stadium on Friday, presumably to give themselves a "game day" feel before Sunday as they haven't played real football in Foxborough since November 5.
Here’s what stood out at the final session prior to this weekend's matchup vs. the Chargers:
Attendance:
Absent:
WR Demario Douglas
WR Kayshon Boutte
IR:
CB Marcus Jones
DL Daniel Ekuale
CB Christian Gonzalez
LB Matthew Judon
OT Riley Reiff
OT Tyrone Wheatley Jr.
WR Kendrick Bourne
Other Notes:
- Mac Jones, who has reportedly had his starting quarterback spot stripped from him this week in favor of Bailey Zappe, looked re-energized and ready to go during stretch lines following a presumably stressful week.
- Rookie wide receivers Demario Douglas and Kayshon Boutte were once again missing from practice on Friday, putting their status' for this weekend in doubt.
- OT Riley Reiff, who did not practice on Thursday, was back on the field on Friday. He's currently on injured reserve but his practice-window to return was opened during the bye-week.
