Fitzy and Hart: Belichick still hasn't named a starting quarterback
"I've told everybody to be ready to go."
That's what Bill Belichick said, once again, on Friday when asked several times who the Patriots starting quarterback will be this coming Sunday against the Giants at MetLife Stadium.
He still ain't budging.
So, outside of the continued mystery QB situation, here's what stood out in Foxborough the day before the Pats head to New York:
Attendance:
Absent:
None.
IR:
CB Marcus Jones
DL Daniel Ekuale
CB Christian Gonzalez
LB Matthew Judon
OT Riley Reiff
OT Tyrone Wheatley Jr.
WR Kendrick Bourne
Other Notes:
- The Patriots finished up their week of practice with perfect attendance. They’re (technically) as healthy as possible coming out of the bye.
- ESPN’s Mike Reiss reported on Friday that he expects practice squad tackle Conor McDermott to be signed to the active roster before Sunday, meaning a corresponding move is imminent.
- Practice squad WR T.J. Luther returned after missing Wednesday’s practice.
