FORT MYERS, Fla. - Wondering where Trevor Story might hit in the Red Sox' lineup? Wednesday might have offered us a clue.
Story, who signed a six-year, $140 million deal with the Red Sox, is playing in his first Grapefruit League game with his new team. In his career, the infielder has hit in the No. 6 spot in just 46 games, having manned the second position the most (206 games).a
Alex Cora said the plan right now is to have Story fill in at the No. 6 spot against righties, with Rafael Devers sitting the second position. Against lefties, Story will likely slide up to No. 2 with Devers hitting cleanup.
The Red Sox take on the Braves at JetBlue Park Wednesday with first pitch at 1:05 p.m. All the action can be heard on WEEI-AM 850 or by clicking here to listen to the stream.
