He later returned to the game, where CBS’ broadcasting crew announced he was suffering from symptoms of dehydration.
Larrew, 69, is in his 19th season as an official, and 16th as a side judge. He sat out 2020 due to COVID-19 concerns, but was a side judge from 2002-2016 before spending 2017-19 as a field judge.
He returned to the side judge spot this season as part of referee Clay Martin’s crew.
