Gio heard from Giants fans on Friday morning who still believe that Daniel Jones could prove himself as the team’s quarterback of the future, and, well, Gio couldn’t help but laugh.
“We’re still talking about Daniel Jones being good?” Gio said. “What the hell is wrong with you people? Haven’t you seen enough? The guy is either turning the ball over or in a neck brace. It’s one of the two.
“‘I think he’s better than you think.’ Based on what? He’s the only guy in the world who shows up with a scar on his neck in the offseason and won’t even tell you what it’s from.”
Gio says enough is enough, and it’s time to move on and accept defeat when it comes to the former sixth overall pick.
“You’re not turning chicken salad from the chicken bleep,” Gio said. “It’s not Daniel Jones. It’s the next guy. It’s gonna be next year.”
Boomer wanted to know where all of Gio’s Jones anger came from, and Gio made it clear that he’s tired of seeing players who are clearly not leading the team out of irrelevancy given multiple chances to prove themselves.
“I love football. I love it. It’s my favorite sport hands down,” Gio said. “Every season we sit here and it starts, and these teams suck every year!”
