Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - It was a dominant performance for the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon in Orchard Park, as they moved back to the top of the AFC East with a 38-3 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers at Highmark Stadium.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen had himself a career day in front of the home fans, completing 20-of-31 pass attempts for a 424 yards and four touchdowns. His 424 yard set a new franchise record for the most passing yards by a quarterback in regulation time.

Although Allen made this matchup with the Steelers look relatively simple with the way he moved the ball around the field, he knows that every week has to be a new week of preparation.

"1-0 each week, that's our mindset," said Allen following the win. "It's a week-to-week league, it's hard to win in this league. We're gonna celebrate this one tonight, have a good time, move on tomorrow and watch this film. Then move on to Kansas City."

One of the biggest problems the Bills have had in the past two weeks have been handling injuries, and being without some key players on the roster. However, a number of rookies had their chance to step up and contribute on Sunday, including wide receiver Khalil Shakir and running back James Cook.

"That's gonna help us going forward, getting this run game involved," Allen said of Cook. "Our backs did a great job running the ball today. Seeing James get going, get his first touchdown. Getting Khalil his first touchdown. That's a special moment for those guys, and I'm happy we got to be a part of it."
