As Bills get healthier, Damar Hamlin will start 2024 season at safety

Only one player on the active roster did not practice on Wednesday

Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - After a myriad of injuries towards the end of training camp and throughout the preseason, the Buffalo Bills are looking fairly healthy heading into their Week 1 contest against the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday.

Head coach Sean McDermott announced on Wednesday that safety Cole Bishop, wide receiver Curtis Samuel, and tight end Quintin Morris, who’ve all been limited recently, would be full participants at practice.

Quarterback Mitch Trubisky, who’s been out over two weeks with a knee injury, was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice.

The only player on the active roster who did not practice was rookie defensive end Javon Solomon, who is dealing with an oblique injury.

Official injury designations for the game on Sunday will be released on Friday.

Bishop’s return means all safeties are now fully healthy, including Mike Edwards.

However, McDermott announced Wednesday that Damar Hamlin would get the nod to start at the position opposite Taylor Rapp on Sunday.
