Reports: Bills re-sign center Connor McGovern to four-year contract

McGovern was set to hit the free agent market at the start of the new league year

Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - A key piece to the Buffalo Bills' offensive line is back in the fold for the long-term.

As first reported by NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Bills have re-signed center Connor McGovern to a four-year contract worth $52 million, with $32 million of that money guaranteed.

McGovern has spent the last three seasons with the Bills after signing with the team during the 2023 offseason as a free agent. Over the last two years in Buffalo, he has served as the center for quarterback Josh Allen, replacing Mitch Morse following the 2023 season.

The 28-year-old has only missed two games on the offensive line, both of which were games the Bills were primarily resting starters. He also earned a Pro Bowl nod in 2024, helping protect Allen en route to an MVP season.

According to Pro Football Focus, McGovern was ranked as the 10th-best center in the NFL last season, allowing a pressure rate of just 2.8%. He has also not surrendered a sack since 2023.

McGovern was set to be an unrestricted free agent once the new league year started on Wednesday.
