Bills draft wide receiver Khalil Shakir with 148th overall pick

Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills continue to make moves at the 2022 NFL Draft, this time trading up in the fifth round pick to select wide receiver Khalil Shakir out of Boise State with the 148th overall pick.

To move up, the Bills traded the 168th overall pick and the 203rd overall selection in the sixth round to the Chicago Bears for pick No. 148.

The 22-year-old wideout put together a four-year career with the Broncos that saw him put up 208 receptions for 2,878 yards and 20 touchdowns. Shakir was named to the First-Team All-Mountain West team in both the 2020 and 2021 season.

Standing at 6-foot and 190 pounds, Shakir also had an impressive NFL Combine, where he ran an official 4.43 40-yard dash.

The Bills will next pick with the 180th overall selection in the sixth round.
