Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills have re-signed another one of their own free agents on Tuesday, as they bring back linebacker Tyrel Dodson to a one-year deal.

Dodson has seen most of his playing action on special teams over the course of his four seasons with the Bills organization. Since being a part of the active roster in 2020, Dodson has averaged 61% of his snaps while either on kickoffs or punts.

However, Dodson has been able to fill in defensively for the Bills, making three starts in 2022, while posting 32 tackles and a sack.

The 24-year-old has been with the Bills since signing as an undrafted free agent in 2019 out of Texas A&M.

His best game with the Bills this past year came when he started in place of Tremaine Edmunds in Week 11, recording a career-high 13 tackles in a 31-23 win over the Cleveland Browns.

Dodson is the second player that was set to be a restricted free agent this offseason to be re-siged by the Bills since the negotiating period opened on Monday.

NFL Free Agency officially opens at 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
