Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills made a roster move on Wednesday, signing safety Jared Mayden off the New York Jets' practice squad to their 53-man active roster. To make room, the team announced the release of cornerback Xavier Rhodes.

Mayden had spent a little over three weeks on the Bills' practice squad back in October. He entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2020 out of Alabama, as he signed with the San Francisco 49ers.

In addition to the Bills, 49ers, and Jets, Mayden also spent time on the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad.
