Bills sign safety Terrell Burgess, cut punter Jack Browning

This signing comes a day after rookie safety Cole Bishop left practice early with an apparent arm injury

Pittsford, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Bills continue to add to the safety position on Wednesday with the signing of Terrell Burgess to a one-year deal. To make room for Burgess on the roster, the Bills have released punter Jack Browning.

Burgess, 25, was an undrafted free agent signing of the Los Angeles Rams out of the University of Utah back in 2020. He spent parts of three seasons with the Rams, which included a Super Bowl ring during his 2021 season.

After being released by the Rams halfway through the 2022 campaign, Burgess signed with the New York Giants, where he played in just one game.

Burgess then signed with the Washington Commanders this past season, where he appeared in 12 games and registering 25 total tackles.

This signing for the Bills comes just a day after rookie safety Cole Bishop left practice early on Tuesday at training camp with an apparent arm injury. WGR Bills beat reporter Sal Capaccio said Bishop was seen after practice with his arm heavily wrapped.

As for Browning, he was an undrafted free agent signing of the Bills this offseason out of San Diego State University.
