Orchard Park, NY (WGR550) - The Buffalo Bills began preparations for their game Sunday at Pittsburgh against the Steelers, but without both of their starting offensive tackles.
Head coach Sean McDermott told the media prior to practice that starting left tackle Dion Dawkins is in the league's concussion protocol. Dawkins left last Thursday night's loss at the Houston Texans briefly to be evaluated for a head injury, but was cleared for return.
However, he's now been ruled to have a concussion and not practicing on Wednesday.
Right tackle Spencer Brown also left the game early with a shoulder injury. He also returned, but then left once again and did not finish the contest.
Tight end Dalton Kincaid, who has missed the last two contests with a hamstring injury remained out on Wednesday. McDermott said there was a chance he could practice this week, but that the team would evaluate that day-by-day.
Wednesday was also the first time new wide receiver Brandin Cooks was in a Bills uniform. McDermott would not rule out the possibility of cooks playing Sunday in Pittsburgh.
