Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio550)- The Bills were able to bounce back at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers following a poor offensive performance from last week as the offense found their form again.
After receiving the game's opening kickoff the Buccaneers offense was held to a punt, but their defense were able to come up big forcing Josh Allen to throw an interception on the Bills first possession.
Following their stop and being set up in good field position the Buccaneers offense were unable to find the endzone settling with a 23-yard field goal from Chase McLaughlin for the 3-0 lead.
With a big 61-yard kickoff return from Mecole Hardman it set up the Bills offense to score the first touchdown with a two-yard rush from Allen and get their first lead of the game.
The Buccaneers offense then respond with a touchdown of their own as Baker Mayfield ran it in four yards to regain to lead for Tampa Bay at the beginning of the second quarter.
In this now back and forth game, Allen and the offense came back on the field to score a touchdown of their own with a 43-yard pass to Tyrell Shavers to get their lead back 14-10.
Sean Tucker with the Buccaneers had a long rushing touchdown of his own following the Shavers score to again regain the lead for Tampa Bay half way through the second quarter with the score being 17-14.
The Bills offense would not respond with a touchdown until near the end of the second quarter as they retook the lead 21-17 thanks to a long touchdown pass catch-and-run from Ty Johnson.
The Buccaneers offense would get points of their own as they managed to drive down the field in the dying moments of the first half to get a field goal as each team headed into the locker room with the Bills leading 21-20.
After each offense stalled out to begin the second half, the Buccaneers capitalized on a fumbled punt by Hardman with Tucker rushing it into the endzone retaking the lead 26-21 as they failed on the two-point conversion.
Allen and the offense tried to march down the field and respond with a touchdown of their own but were held to a field goal inching closer to the Buccaneers.
The Bills defense came up big intercepting Mayfield to set up the offense to score a touchdown on their first play to get the lead 31-26 with close to three minutes left in the third quarter.
Coming out of the fourth quarter the theme of lead changes continued as Tucker catches a 28-yard touchdown pass from Mayfield to give the Buccaneers a 32-31 lead as they missed their two-point conversion once again.
Allen would help the offense march down the field with the ninth lead change of the game occurring as he rushed five yards into the endzone and trying a two-point conversion of their own also failing to convert but take the lead 37-32.
The reigning MVP again would put the offense on his back as he had another rushing touchdown, this time to extend the Bills lead 44-32 and ice the game to improve the Bills record to 7-3.
