Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer has been named AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his Week 4 performance against the Baltimore Ravens this past Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium.

Poyer registered six total tackles on Sunday, along with three pass breakups and two interceptions to help lift the Bills to 3-1 on the season with a 23-20 victory.
The Ravens turned the ball over twice in the game, and both came on interceptions by Poyer and in huge situations. This included a 4th-and-goal with the game tied at 20-20, when Poyer picked off Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson in the end zone that allowed the Bills to start their would-be game-winning drive from the 20-yard line instead of their own two-yard line.
Poyer's four interceptions through four games this season currently leads the NFL.
This marks the second time in Poyer's tenure with the Bills where he has been honored by the NFL. Poyer was named AFC Defensive Player of the Month back in December of 2017.
